After leaving Washington, we started making our way to Colorado but decided to stop off in Montana to visit Daniel's sister and husband for a few days.
I had never been to Montana before but I completely fell in love. The small towns, big mountains, and friendly people really found a way into my heart.
I've been feeling like Daniel has been buttering me up to move there once he gets out of the military and I always rolled my eyes. No way would I move to that desolate state with 12 months of winter. Yeah, well joke's on me because Montana is easily one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.
We spent the week at a lake house, drinking wine, chatting about life and enjoying the incredible weather. It was the first time I got to spend a large chunk of quality time with my sister in law and meet her husband and his family.
We had such a good time, I couldn't believe it was time to go.
Have you ever had a preconceived idea about a place that turned out to be completely wrong?
